Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), the managing and operating contractor at the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site (SRS), is proud to partner with ACTS. Since 2008, SRNS has contributed $156,000 to support ACTS and its programs and donated 2 AEDs to improve safety for their volunteers and customers.
“The volume of assistance requests has grown substantially over the past year. Food services thru the ACTS Pantry and thru community food distributions grew by 28% in 2023 and doesn’t appear to be slowing down” stated SRNS Area Manager, Operations Lee Sims, who serves as Treasurer on the ACTS Board of Directors. “SRNS recognizes the need for increased community support and proudly partners with organizations like ACTS to address growing community needs.”

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is the contractor at the The Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site (SRS) is responsible for safely treating and disposing of the Cold War-era radioactive liquid waste remaining at SRS. SRMC’s mission is to safely reduce the risk to the community and the environment of this waste stored in aging waste tanks. Leading with our core values of safety, reliability, mutual respect, and continuous improvement, we are committed to optimizing operations to minimize the Liquid Waste Program total life cycle. We fulfill a critical National Security mission by protecting Nuclear materials and other security interests, people, and property at the 310-square-mile Site.
