What We Do

Our goal is to fulfill immediate client needs while minimizing risk to our volunteers, clients, and staff. We provide food, clothing, medical assistance, utility assistance, and other services to our clients.  Interviews are conducted during client visits to ensure that we are meeting all needs and making appropriate referrals.  We serve individuals and families in need in Aiken County with the exception of North Augusta and the 421 corridor.

Services

We are open for Client Services Monday through Friday from 11 am to 3 pm. We open each day with prayer asking God to guide us and to thank Him for allowing us to serve our neighbors in need. To schedule an appointment, please call 803-642-5919.

ACTS provides assistance with food, clothing, medical assistance, utility assistance and other services including a transportation program. Clients referred from the Cumbee Center and Red Cross may receive furniture and housewares.  ACTS Food Program includes a food pantry which operates Monday through Friday from 11 am to 3 pm serving individuals and families with a week’s worth of food. Our Senior Food Program is available to qualifying seniors age 60 and older on the 3rd Saturday of every month from 8:00 am to 9:30 am. Participants receive a monthly supplement of food and distributions occur in Aiken, Graniteville, Jackson and Wagener. Community Food Distributions occur monthly in Ridge Spring, Oakwood-Windsor, New Ellenton and Wagener which also includes Perry and Salley.

food

Qualifying individuals and families receive food for a week from our Food Pantry in Aiken.  For seniors (age 60 and over), a monthly supplement of food can be made available through our Senior Food Program. Qualified individuals and families who live in Ridge Spring, Oakwood-Windsor, New Ellenton, and Wagener, Perry, and Salley may participate in monthly community food distributions.

Medical Assistance with medical and dental visits and procedures, dental extractions, necessary medical equipment, and prescriptions is provided to clients who qualify.

utility support

Utility Assistance is provided to clients who are facing temporary or emergency situations including the disconnection of services. In addition to our Utility Assistance Program, ACTS provides fans and heaters.

clothing

Vouchers for Clothing are provided for clients to shop in our Resale stores.

furniture and housewares

The ACTS Car Program provides used cars to qualified adults who are employed but need reliable transportation.

The ACTS Car Program provides used cars to qualified adults who are employed but need reliable transportation.

bike

Adults who are employed, looking for employment, or in school, and cannot afford transportation may qualify for a bicycle through the ACTS Bicycle Program.
